Flex Buildings

Baldwin Park, Florida

2005

Charles Beck designed the facades for these two flex buildings while working with Torti Gallas & Partners in Washington DC. The buildings were erected five times each for a total of ten new buildings, each with a slightly different styling, in a recently built New Urbanist town in Florida. The designs are based upon classical principles and are meant to give residents a feeling of dignity. Originally purposed as townhouses, the buildings are meant to become mixed-use over time with retail on the ground floor and residences on the upper floors.
